The Cuisinart DGB-700BC Grind-and-Brew Coffeemaker shares many of the same characteristics as the less expensive DGB-625BC model.
For example, it has a charcoal water filter, permanent gold-tone coffee filter, and it is fully programmable. This machine also has a 12-cup capacity. Both models also have the brew-pause function and auto- shutoff features as well. However, the DGB-700BC model offers the ability to select various coffee strengths and grind control fine tuning.
- Might require more maintenance than others
- This coffee machine makes great tasting coffee
- A grind and brew model that has finally got the design right
Whilst more expensive than the Cuisinart DGB-625BC, this machine is still very economically priced, often coming in under the $200 mark depending on discounts and/or specials.
However, taking into account the difference in price and the fact that there is a strong similarity in features offered in both Cuisinart models, we’d be more inclined to choose the cheaper of the two. Given the issues raised by a minority, this product earns the lesser 3.5 stars in our opinion.

When choosing between the Breville models and the other Cuisinart models, we have to pick the Breville BDC650BSS as our overall winner, rating it with 5 stars.
The Cuisinart products seem to have some issues, and while the Breville BES870XL seems like a really great coffee maker, it’s also a bit pricey.
Often being on special for less than $300, this Breville model has all the things we like and seems like a more durable product than the Cuisinart models, earning the title of ‘best coffee maker with built in grinder’ in our opinion.
